About Beatrix Barker

Beatrix BarkerBeatrix Barker has been a professional art advisor for over three decades and is experienced in a broad range of project types with excellent skills in analysis, strategic planning, and project management.

Because of her extensive knowledge of public art and related issues, she is often invited to advise public sector clients on workable policy, strategy and implementation.

In addition to public art, community development, and cultural planning, Beatrix has also distinguished herself in corporate consulting, corporate philanthropic policy and communications programming, as well as exhibition development.

She possesses a current knowledge of artistic trends and is a frequent lecturer on art and public art.

She has been appointed to numerous boards and committees.  She is Past Chair of the Board of the Fellows of Contemporary Art; many years’ Board Member of the Pasadena Art Alliance; Advisory Board Member of Side Street Projects; Advisory Board Member of the Ambassador Auditorium; member of ArtTable, a national organization for professional women in leadership positions in the visual arts; and member of Americans for the Arts.
